General SMTP protocol parameters are defined on the Options dialog.
Number of threads - number of threads for simultaneous mailbox checkup. Custom HELO domain - domain name or IP address used to connect to mail server. Some servers demand this parameter is not empty and check this IP address is valid. You can set the correct IP-address automatically by pressing Resolve My IP address button. Custom MAIL FROM - e-mail address sent to mail server as a parameter of MAIL FROM command. In theory this can be blank, however, some mail servers do analyze it. Thus it is not recommended to delete this parameter or use a fake address. DNS Timeout - The DNS delay time in ms, A second or two. Default timeout is 8 seconds. SMTP Timeout - The SMTP server delay time in ms. Tens of seconds. Default timeout is 20 seconds. Combined with the DNS timeout, this makes a worst case of 70 seconds.
