After installing WinUtilities, you can select its shortcut in the WinUtilities -> File Tools pane to open this module. If you want to recover files that are already lost, and you want to avoid installing WinUtilities to prevent any danger of data loss, follow the instructions: The file ToolUndelete.exe includes Unicode support, and can display filenames and recover files with filenames in languages other than English. USAGE Opening WinUtilities Undelete After installing WinUtilities, you can select its shortcut in the WinUtilities -> File Tools -> WinUtilities Undelete to open this module. Scanning for deleted files In the main application window, click on the volume you would like to scan from the Volumes list on the left. The scan will begin automatically. Browsing and searching inside the scan results After completing the deleted files scan, the deleted files are displayed in an explorer-like interface, with the folders on the right pane and the files and folders on the left pane. files are organized in folders according to the original parent, or according to the file type. You also can select '{All Deleted Files}' folder under a volume to show all the deleted files on this volume, and then select files from right pane for recovering. To recover Recycle-bin deleted files, please select 'Recycle-bin' folder under a volume. Recovering deleted files During scanning, WinUtilities Undelete calculates the chances of successfully recovering a file according to the amount of clusters from the original files that were overwritten by new files. If none of the clusters were overwritten, the file condition is marked as Good; if some clusters were overwritten, the file condition is marked as Poor. If an error was encountered reading a file record, the file condition is marked Unrecoverable. To recover deleted files or folders: 1.
