System Control module of WinUtilities is used to manage and organize your Windows settings. this module offers you five categories and allow you to edit Windows configuration files like Boot.ini, System.ini, Win.ini, Autoexec.bat, Config.sys and Config.nt easily, you also can use this module to configure your Windows environment variables and modify the OEM information. The System Control module gives you a single place where you can adjust all of your Windows settings. Support Five categories:
Editing System Configuration Files Use this function to edit Windows configuration files easily. Note - Modifying Windows configuration files can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Please ignore this tool if you're unsure what to do. Modifing the Special Folders Special Folders is designed to help you manage your personal data (My Documents, My Picture, Internet Explorer History). There are several reason why user need to move your personal data to other volume, other harddisk, or even to other computer in your network. The first reason is to avoid loosing your personal data when your main drive (drive that is used to install Windows) is broken or you need to reinstall Windows. The other reason is to make your personal data accessible from anywhere by placing them on a network location. Note - For security reason not all special folders location are allowed to change. Editing & Adding OEM Information This tool is designed for Windows 2000, XP,and XP x64. Use OEM Information to customize Windows registration information displayed in System Properties. This tool would be useful for computer manufactures to remain their customers where they can get support. How to add your OEM information into System Properties?
Note - To open System Properties, go to Control Panel -> System. Click the "General" tab for more information. Auto Shutdown Supported Sometimes, you want to schedule your computer shutdown at a special time. this module allows you to do this easily. simply run this module and select the time, and then click 'Run Auto shutdown'. Visiting Control Panel applets WinUtilities System Control module has a Control Panel tab, it is used to run the Control Panel applets without administrator privilege, this module will list all the applets installed on this machine. then you can doule-click a item to open the seleced Control Panel applet.
